General Information

Microsoft Expression Web is an HTML Web editor and Web design program that was created in order to replace Microsoft FrontPage. This program is part of a Microsoft Suite called Expression Studio, a group of applications including Expression Web, Expression Blend (visual user interface builder), Expression Design (graphics editor), Expression Media (media manager), and Expression Encoder (professional encoder). The major difference between Microsoft Expression Web and FrontPage is that this new application features its own rendering engine. It allows the authoring of the following languages: XML, XHTML, ASP.NET 2.0, CSS 2.1, XSLT, and JavaScript. It requires the .NET Framework 2.0 to operate.
